Future Projects

The Clairton Municipal Authority is planning an upgrade to the treatment plant to solve the problems associated with peak flows during rainfall events causing exceedences at the plant due to overflows at the pump station.  The upgrade project will also include future biological nutrient removal (BNR) capability.

The Authroity has received  a CITF Grant that will go towards rehabilitating up to 18 different sections of pipe that have Level 5 structural defects.

The Authority has applied for other grants such as the CDBG Grant.
